CAAS signed a contract with the B.I.N.G. Foundation to assist the Detroit Police Department with developing and implementing its Compstat system. Compstat was first pioneered in New York City in the early 1990's and led to a dramatic reduction in crime rates there. It is based upon tracking the time and location of crimes, effective tactics, rapid resource allocation, and relentless follow up through regular management accountability meetings. Our professionals have years of experience working with Compstat, both on the job and in consulting with police departments that are adopting this approach.
